Free Spirit.

Hello, hello
The last few days were very busy, as I went with my hostfamily to every event they planned for a proper, english christmas. It began like in the films; the kids wake up at 5am and empty their stockings to see what Santa gave them. While they are shouting full of joy the older members of the family would prefer to have a few hours more sleep. In this one, I like to count me to the older ones, although I really liked to see the girls unwrapping their presents :)
We had a lovely christmas dinner and lots of crackers..then we went to some friends of the family, such as the next day. Eveybody is in a really christamsy mood, I so loved it :D

But now, after boxing day, school has me again. In the holidays, I have to finish my perosnal project. I will do it under the titel ''Free Spirit''. I have to produce several sets of images after I did a full research on the meaning of the titel and few interpretations from other photographers, such as other photogrpahers for my inspiration..I have that all done and now I'm waiting for good weather to do some good shots. Let's hope :)
Here's my favourite artist at the moment, Alexandra Valenti. I will use her as my inspiration, although her pictures are a bit too much in one subject, I will do it a big wilder and weirder, also bring some boys in it so make the whole thing a bit more balanced.

We fear the new, yes we do so much. Too much. Lalala, I'm off.

What is it that holds you inside on a rainy day?
What is it that holds you back jumping over that fence?
What is it that holds you from saying what has to be said?
What is it that holds you from doing what has to be done?
What is it that holds you home?
What is it that holds you here?
Say, what is it?

Nothing has to be feared, the worst that can happen is that you die.

You will, anyway.

After the photoshoot and a long, long manupulating process, here are the shoots from monday weeks and weeks ago.

I'd cry if I can. But it'd be useless, there's enough salty water.

Blubb.
I'm done.
Every muscle in my body hurts. Shopping IS tiring! :)
Yesterday, I was with my international students class at the Pooh-bridge and in Brighton.
First, we went to the home of Winnie the poooooooh :) Haha, and then to that bridge, where we played pooh-sticks. I made it to the final, but was beaten by another crimbo (note: Crimbo is the short form for christams, but Mr. Howard says crimbo as short form of criminal, which I am, in his oppinion ;))
Then we went to Brighton with our lovely mini bus.
And there we were. And we walked down the main street, smelled the sea.
And as we saw, we ran. As fast as we could.
Unfortunately, I didn't stop before the waves splashed against my trousers. awwwwww. :) I love Brighton. I was standing there in the water and nearly crying, because it was just overwhelming. This is my town. The town I love.
I can't really show you the pictures, because I didn't had any akku. Beka will give me some of hers, so I give you a short impression of Brithgon, which looks on the pictures not even half as good as in real.
We went to the pier and that was it with sightseeing. We couldn't wait for shopping :)
And the shops are really sweet there. So many gorgeous things :) **I fell completley in love with the charitiy shops there.**
As it is a student-city, I never, EVER saw so many good dressed people on the streets. Really. better than London. <3 <3

At the end of our shopping tour, we went back to the beach, where I changed my clothes (with some audience....) and then I jumped into the waves with an oversized man t-shirt. Well, I didn;t really go swimming. We weren't alowed,  as there was no live-guard. However, I just walked a bit around, half in the water. I twas wonderful.

This is my city.
This is Brighton.
And I love it.

Feels like butterflies in your tommy, dying over and over again, live over and over again..

Hello out there
I'm sorry, I'm a horrible blogger. :) But now after a long time, finally a post again:
Well, a week or two ago, we had our first english houseparty. It was dramatic. It was brilliant. At this point I better shut up. In the morning, I managed it to wake up before 9 o'clock, just to sit on the computer, nearly dying inside, waiting for the countdown. The countdown of Glastonbury ticket sale. The ticket to the probably most important thing in my life. ''Please wait, you are in the queue now''. Aha? But I really tried it at exactly 9 o'clock. I thought it HAS to work! But after 2 hours, I'd lost my hope.
However, we were in the living room, watching DVD and Matt shouts suddenly: ''Annika? Annika, I think you're through!''
I couldn't believe it. I made it. I HAVE A GLASTONBURY TICKET. awwwww best day of my life!
If there wouldn't be a massive problem: Nobody else had got a ticket.
Butterflies live, butterflies die.
We'll try to get some in the 2nd sale, I'll try to get around 15 people to get a ticket, one of us has to come through, hopefully. Otherwise I'll sneak out of the house and go by my own. :) If you're concenred about me: Search some people who go to Glasto as well! :) Cheers!
Well, Beka and I went home after this fabulous party.
And England loved us.
Rain, rain, rain. It rained the whole time. We were wet, and the worst of all, my kebab was wet! I was so glad, finally in my room back again. Awwwww. I love wee china pigs! ;)

yeah...hmm,..
xD
Fruther, I had a photoshoot with Marianne last monday. She asked two indie guys if they would be model. Aw and they said yes :)
It was really good, the pictures will be uploaded in a dew weeks, I need them for my photography work..
cheers. xxx
